Mapusa – Moods & Memories

Scenes of the otherwise bustling market we quite often miss: Like when the seemingly ever moving bazaar come to a grinding halt during a strike. The ever-crowded lanes look very lazy indeed! It affects the daily bread of hundreds of hands that move Mapusa every moment without anyone noticing it. The groups of daily wage labourers, porters, who have been earning their daily bread in the market like the other vendors do, wonder when they’ll get work again. Also… what does our bigg bazaar look like from the heavens above….? ImageImageImageImage

There are, however, some souls like Domnic Fernandes  (Mapusa: Yesterday & Today) who take some trouble to chronicle some such moments and Mhapxenkars like Miguel Braganza who wonder why it has to happen to their beloved Mapxencho bazar.
